This is Noa Isumi. One of the quirky lead characters from an 80's anime show called Mobile Police Patlabor (Patrol Labor). She pilots a large robot, an AV 98-INGRAM, whom she lovingly names Alphonse. Much like how some guys puts waaay too much attention on their cars, she completely obsesses about this robot!
(Originally Alphonse was blurred in the bg to give the effect that he's far away, but too much of the details were lost.)

Brief rundown::Set in an alternative future, this type of police department (Special Vehicles 2) was created when criminals started using robots in rogue crime sprees. The regular Tokyo police couldn't handle it and basicly got their butts handed to them. These robots must have a pilot, which makes them very similar to Gundams.

Grr...Don't you hate it when it's after you complete a picture you see all of its errors... I had an another fellow artstudent/buddy take a look at this and found the following problems:
I was going for an ground-up view (or bugs-eye view), but ended up with an side view so now it looks like she has no neck. I also must make her raised arm sightly visuable and shorten her left leg. I could put this back in a WIP status but whatever ... Next time i'll just pay better attention before posting...

Oh man, I had seen the sketches for these a while back. I'm impressed at how well the two fit together. And the color is so fresh and clean. LoL...that was an unintentional reference to Outkast. lawl!

The butter legion- a socialist movement/mass colab project I started, to trigger artistic change and evolution in Da artists (mainly my watchers), to make them more active and dedicated on DA. Now 170 people strong and growing... A "dangerous cult"? a "new religion"? "artistic version of fight club" or "communist movement"? You decide!
Hello there! This news article is the result of a thumb share thread I posted few days ago on the dA forum along with pictures from my favorites. I hope you enjoy them.
